Contact Lens Evaluation
After we check your vision and glasses prescription, we will:
- Discuss all contact lens options open to you
- Recommend the most suitable contact lens for your needs
- Put trial lenses on your eyes so you can see what they're like
- Discuss with you all relevant fitting fees and lens fees so there are no surprises.
You can then make an informed decision on your goal of wearing contact lenses
Student Vision Screening (ages 5-15 years)
- 70% to 90% of all learning involves the visual system
- Uncorrected vision problems are an obstacle to learning
- We screen for all the major vision problems that can affect performance in school
The purpose of this exam is to determine whether there is a need for a full comprehensive exam. The screening does not provide a glasses or contact lens prescription. It also does not provide screening for health concerns of the eye.
These screenings require a written referral by a teacher, school nurse, or medical professional. Please call 415-453-8906 if a form is required.
InfantSee Exams (ages 6 to 12 months)
We participate in the AOA (American Optometry Association) sponsored program to provide a comprehensive infant eye assessment within the first year of life as a no cost public health service.
- Many eye conditions have no symptoms that can be identified by a parent or in a well baby check-up.
- Early detection is the best way to ensure your child has healthy eyes and appropriate development of vision- now and in the future.
LASIK Evaluation
- We will discuss all refractive surgery procedures that are open to you, based on your glasses prescription, your eye health and your vision needs.
- We work with several excellent refractive surgeons in the bay area to provide you access to the refractive procedures most suitable for your eyes.
We will be there to answer any questions you may have so that you can make an informed decision on your goal of having LASIK.
